| HARRIS LEADS MIAMI INTO THE 2010/11 SEASON 2009 SEASON: 9-3, Lost Champs Sports Bowl vs. Wisconsin STADIUM: Sun Life Stadium (75,192), Miami Gardens, Florida Shannon hopes to keep the winning tradition alive in Miami HEAD COACH: Coach Randy Shannon leads his alma mater once again this season. He is entering his 4th year as the head coach at Miami. He has yet to lead the Hurricanes to a bowl game victory. After winning the NCAA Championship with the Hurricanes as a linebacker in 1987, he looks to give the team he played for another championship as the head coach in 2010/11.
Harris appears ready to lead the Hurricanes to big things in 2010/11 OFFENSE: It is no secret that the Hurricanes are relying heavily on Jacory Harris, QB and team leader, to lead them into title contention this year. The Junior QB has been making noise in spring practice and seems prepared to break into the Heisman candidacy race. At RB, Senior Greg Cooper takes the lead role with Damien Berry as his very capable back up. At WR, the Hurricanes have 2 great wideouts in Laron Bryd (Jr) and Leonard Hankerson (Sr). Both look to put up respectable numbers this season and are sure to be Harris' favorite targets in the passing game. These offensive weapons, along with the solid respectable grunts on the O-line, look to give Miami a chance to score consistently against any defense they may have to face this season. Jacory Harris has said himself that there is no excuse for him to not win the Heisman this year, but Harris' eccentric sayings may just be to hype himself up. Nonetheless, Coach Shannon expects a large amount points to be put on the board this year for the U. Allen Bailey is a force to be reckoned with on the D line . DEFENSE: Almost every season it seems as if the Hurricanes defense is stacked with next level talent. Going into the 2010/11 season, this is no different for Miami as they are led by some star defensive players; namely Senior DE Allen Bailey. Bailey is a monster on the D line for the Hurricanes and is bound to be a NFL lottery pick this coming spring. Teamed up with Bailey on the D line is standout DT Marcus Forston (SO). At CB, the Hurricanes are led by the outspoken veteran senior Demarcus Van Dyke, as well as his teammate shut down corner Brandon Harris (Jr). At safety, sophomore Ray Ray Armstrong keeps the strong tradition of alive of All-American Miami safeties. At LB, the Hurricanes are very solidly supported by starters Colin McCarthy (Sr.), Shayon Green (Fr. RS), and Sean Spence (Jr.). To say the least, Miami is stacked on D this season. You know what they say about good defenses; they win you championships. All the folks in Miami hopes this team's personnel lives up to the hype. Matt Bosher truly does it all SPECIAL TEAMS: Seniot Matt Bosher is an unheralded star for this Miami team, as he does both the punting and the kicking for the special teams. Not only is he a very multifaceted athlete in the kick game, he does them both extremely well. Doing the kick and punt returns this year will be senior spell back Damien Berry and Freshman RB Lamar Miller. Can the Hurricanes add to this list this season? PREDICTION: Anything more than 2 losses will be unacceptable to these fans and these players and coaches. I predict a 10-2 or 11-1 season from the Hurricanes as they come up just short of a national championship game appearance.

He sure is, along with Storm Johnson next season. With Harris gone, I'm gonna have to rely heavily on that ground game. Thanks man.

| I voted not relevant because I think Harris is going to struggle passing it. He has the legs but I think you will have a hard time getting some clutch throws out of him. | |

| Nice Work...I also voted not relevant but thats just because Im an ass. lol...no but in all seriousness, the U are AWESOME and I think you will do great with them. Harris will miss some key throws, but will also make some great ones, and that inconsistency could cost you, especially in user games. I think that you will have a change of heart at the starting RB position and that Berry will take over sometime soon. I find that Berry is a much bigger homerun threat, but either way they are both great backs.
Also, watch out for that TE down in Miami...just ask MG about him, dude is a BEAST!!!!

Yeah the TE is great too - his name escapes me but I am sure he will soon be a household name.. lol and thanks for the boost of confidence with the vote hahaha
